the sun had slowly began to set upon the world, changing the skies color from sky blue, to a goldish-orange. it was a signal to the people of the world that the day was coming to an end soon. and that night time was right around the corner. to most people, that would mean that it was time to go home to your families, and relax. chat about how the day was, and what joys or tragic it might have brought one.
but, not here at karate island. here, one would train all day and night to perfect one's own martial art skills, to make them an even better fighter than they already are. one particular person had trained within a forest area, punching and kicking tree's, while moving about at impressive speeds. this person had orange-red hair, gradient in nature, with the top of his hair being the lightest, and getting darker as it went down. he hadn't worn a shirt of any kind to cover his bare torso.
though, he had bandages wrapped around the center of his torso, seeming as if it was aiding an injury he had received. he had also worn bandages around his hands, wrist, feet, and ankles. they were to keep his hands and feet tight, as he delivered powerful punches and kicks to his surrounding tree's. beneath the bandages, one could see bloodstains, and that the bandages were dirty.
he had been training for hours on end. the only clothing he had been apparently wearing were a pair of boxing shorts, black, with a red strip going down the side of them, vertically. sweat had dripped from the young male's body, his well-toned body had glistened in the goldish light that the sun had left behind. naturally, the young male was tired, panting as he tried to catch his breath to push his body even further. beyond his limits.
("huk huk..i can't stop now, i must keep pushing myself..i must keep going on..!") he had said out loud, as he had delivered one final punch to the tree, though, it hadn't carried much, or any power at all behind his punch. he had continued to pant, releasing his balled up fist, and placed his bare hand against the tree, his palm and hands extended along it's side.
("i wonder if i am the only one out over here..") he said as he had stood up tall, looking around for anyone that may be out training around this time. though, this was one of the older training places, and not many people would be around there. though, the young male had grown up training here, and it was a place that he loved since he was a kid.

I marched in place at a greater pace, taking my stride forth as I began punching in air at many angles from hooks to jabs, to uppercuts and straight blows. My body leaping and moving at greater paces, and made my time feel as though it was all singular, in my own mind. I needed this time to focus on my next match, knowing just what I wanted to do. As time went forward I began to run in place, moving my arms forward waving them as I began focusing. My eyes flashed, as my blood boiled, ready to take on this challenge of training as always.
"Time for roadwork!"
My body flew forward, moving through the landscape with fierce abandon, my training was compared to that of hell as it never stopped. Even with sleep I hung myself upside down in order to gain greater equilibrium and leg muscles using my calves to tighten around the objects. It felt good, the wind in my face and the power of a full-course run, I was excited. The sweat off my brow, my teeth showing from my run as I went deeper and deeper into the forest. My stride not stopping any time soon.
I was exhausted after so much running, placing my hands on my legs taking my time to collect oxygen. I was drenched in sweat for the harsh training I placed myself through this large forest was always a good training place. I used the trees in order to dodge strikes, the limbs in order to do pull-ups and leg sit-ups. This place was like a jungle gym, a playground. Somewhere I could become stronger and train more.
As I regained my energy I would hear a sound, this sound rang through my ears as the force of someones blows placed me at awe. What was this, who was this? I needed to find out due to my enthusiasm, maybe I could test this strength, to show my power to my opposition and become something stronger, something greater than what others could. My legs moved on their own, my body dodged and took up what could be considered their "own state of mind". I slid, as I finally saw that shadow, his red-hair and body, his legs hitting against that tree and punches scraping against its raw bark of the tree.
I clenched both my fists as my body tingled all over. I grinned a bit and took my fist forward with a happy stride of my foot against the ground. I was ready to take him, to take the power of his and try to increase my own by fighting against who was truly strong. I wouldn't allow myself to falter as my cells began to spill more lust for combat. I clenched my fist deeper and deeper once more.
"Fight me, guy!"
I was ready for this, this passion that welled up inside of me. I was ready to do battle.

after the young male had finished looking around the place, he turned his head back toward the tree, and hung it down. slowly, his lungs had filled up with new air, new fresh air from the forest itself. his energy slowly starting to replinish himself. he had known that he had to tak it easy on his body, if he didn't want to burn up his energy again.
at least not too quickly, if he had known what was good for him. and, he did. he was a bit of a health freak, and making sure his body was in the best shape was key to his training. though, he had heard something moving toward his way, through the quiet forest. it swiftly moved through the wind, approaching him in a matter of seconds. before he could even look up, in the direction that he heard the one coming in, they would have already had been there. asking for a fight, no less.
("heh..i see that you've got some nerve. coming here and demanding things of me, eh? well...") the male had slowly rose up to his feet, standing tall as he would clench his fist tightly, looking up at the other male, with his deep blue eyes. upon his face, he had carried a serious expression, though, it became less serious, once he had allowed a smirk to come across his face. then, he began to speak himself.
("then come and get some, little man!")
he said in a taunting voice, trying to provoke the other male, while at the same time, preparing himself. he had gotten into his own fighting stance, of a fighting style that hasn't been seen upon the island. though, one could tell that it had reminsence of other styles mixed into it. once the male had prepared his fist, be brushed his thumbs on either side of his nose, smirking more. using his right hand as a gesture for the male to come at him. since he was the challenger, afterall.

My eyes were serious, the fire burning inside hem, as the position of my body changed from being tall to leaning forward. I pressed my legs together taking my time to analyze my opponent who seemed to want to fight me as well. I loved this, this energy I felt made it worth my while to fight such opposition. With this, I was focused on my opposition, my eyes never turned away from him as he began to speak, clutching my fists tighter, my form went deeper.
The winds starting to blow, showed that the atmosphere had changed. My opponent had also gotten into his own sort of seriousness, I needed to take this to a stronger concentration of battle. As he began to speak, I began to listen. And with his expression of me, I would also begin my own expression. As I grinned he would as well. And in my body I would finally start to move. A dash would be made.
I needed to keep my pace, my body progressing forward in a straight path as I took a dash forward and stopped quickly. My body began to turn as I leaped towards the right quickly in a small step in order to catch him off-guard and blitzed forward with my own footwork movements my arms close to my body. I closed in quickly using my footwork in order to capture my opponents attention. As I took up my fists, I would start to attack.
And with this first move I started with a barrage of jabs from my left hand, attacking towards his face with a three jabs for blitzing speeds towards my opponents body. If he would dodge these, I would begin another attack in which I twisted my body in order to attack with a lowered right hooking attack towards my opponents ribs. I needed to capture my opponent quickly before he gets a chance to move.

he had seen the excitement within the male's eyes who would be his opponents, grow into a great flame, hungry for battle. though, he was the same as well, that's why he was here on karate island. he was hungry for battles and strong opponents, hopefully the man he was facing was indeed a strong one. for, he didn't want to waste his time facing weaklings, one's who would simply do nothing better but waste his time. he watched the male as he began to move.
the young male's eyes were like that of a hawk, watching his opponenet carefully as he moved in, not wanting to miss a single move. for, he did not only want a good fight, he was curious in the type of fighting that the male would use. and how he would use it. he had learned in all his years of fighting, just because someone may use a particular style, it's be foolish to think that they all would fight the same way, or think the same way when fighting.
when he had gotten close, his opponenet had quickly moved to the right, but the young male didn't falter. though creating some distance between them, so he wouldn't be caught by an unsuspected cheap shot. as his opponent had came toward he, he rapidly fired out three swift jabs toward his face. though, after he had seen the first one coming, he'd spin off to the left side of his left arm, spinning into a crouch.
and as his body would lower as it spinned, his left leg would extend out, coming right behind the right foot of the man who was in full motion. by the time he would have attempted his right jab to the ribs, that's when his fast action sweep kick would come into play, attempting to trip him. and if successful, his leg would go all the way through to his left, causing him to fall down.
the young male had seen this fighting style before, or rather something like it. tthough, he was still unsure of what it was. only more fighting could determine what it was the man was using.

The opponent was a fierce one, not only did he not get affected by the footwork of my boxing skill, he also didn't have any worry towards the way I drove inward because of the use of my footwork. And as I went for the kill he was already out of the way. How quick was this guy to anticipate my attacks, I couldn't hit him with such rudimentary and basic skills it would seem. He was light, agile and built for speed. I was strong, quick yet built for acting on pressure.
I saw that my opposition had gotten lower, quickly I needed to act on my own assault, quickly diverting what would of been my next hooking shot in order to use a quick step backwards. I stopped for a moment, and took in the information I had gained from trying to assault him first. He seemed to abhor blocking attacks and wanted to anticipate them instead, making him not very durable in my eyes. Possibly due to his fleet-of-foot nature.
I would need to wait for an opening instead of charging in, I knew just as well as anyone about the disadvantage of using only my fists in combat. I have to gauge his strengths and weaknesses a bit more before I leap into a head-on battle with him again. I took many more steps backwards walking back with my footwork seeming more like small dash-jumps then anything. I landed eight meters away from him.
And with this, the battle of who would need to act first commenced. If I caught him in a few good attacks, especially with one of my powerful straights I could deck him, I still don't know his attack strategy but that was a leg sweeper, and thanks to that I knew he had at least the basic concept of taking an opponent down with that. I pressed my legs into the ground leaping in short bursts, to show my readiness, my right leg forward and my left leg behind me.
"Hm..."

the other male's body had reacted swiftly to the young male's movements. his opponent had moved backwards, in a jumping fashion, to leap over the sweeping leg. he completed his motion, bringing his leg back to his body, slowly rising up to his feet, smirking at the male as he continued to create distance. he had wondered what the male was trying to do by creating such a large distance between the two.
it was obviously a hand to hand fight, and a large distance would disturb that. but, perhaps the male had another plan up his sleeve. perhaps he was a sneaky fellow, and actually had a weapon or something that he would use. like a gun. that could be the reason why he had gotten so far back from him.
he wouldn't stand for such low level deception. he had stood tall and firm, with his hands relaxed at his sides. his body happy expression had changed, taking on that of a serious expression, wanting to know what the other was planning.
("aye, what do you think you're doing? why do you run from me? a trick up your sleeve perhaps?") he said in a calm tone, staring down his opponent, looking fearlessly into his eyes, despite whatever he may have planned to do to the young male. he had encountered other situations like this that had ended badly. he just wanted to know how bad would this one would go. if a life would be taken from one of them today, if the situation had gotten too bad.
he was of the marin corps, and he had thought it would be fair only to worn the male. if he had dared do something so ill-willed.
("to give you fair warning, i am of the marine corps. a crime against me is a crime against the marine corps, and you'll be more than likely charged. if you dare try something ill. but..") the young male had moved back into his fighting posture, tightening his fist, and positioning his fist. his serious expression had allowed him to smirk, though in a devilish fashion. if the other male had some type of other tool to use against him. he wouldn't let it be used so easily, and he wouldn't be an easy target, he would make the male work for his meal.
he had taken off in a burst of speed toward the man, before he could withdraw his weapon, if he had even had one at all. he had easily, and quickly covered half the distance that the other had created.
("i am not that easy!") he would then cover just about the rest, just about being a meter away from the male, he had leaped into the air. with his leap, he had continued to move toward the man, though, his body began to rotate, as he extended out his right leg. spinning like a tornado toward the male, he was spinning toward him diagonally, with his right foot aiming at his upper left face, at his temple. he would only be able to perform three spins, though the first two were just to build up momentum, the third was to carry all of the power he had built up, and planned to release it against the male's temple.

I grasped my fists tighter as I understood the situation better now, and would need to take on a more realistic approach to the situation. I tightened my body and stance, taking a deep breath as I released a bit of breath outside my body. This character here seemed to have a notion towards fighting full-on, and if I should fight him full on he'd have an advantage due to his reach and speed. I would need to keep some distance and dash in for the strike, is what I would of agreed upon had I not had to react to what he would do next.
"Marine corps..."
I also aspired to be within the marine corps as well, and I wanted to become apart of it just as badly as I wanted to box. But that was a ways off for now, and I was still only fourteen, still learning how to box and use my body well. I had only smiled as he said this and only looked forth, now I was even more interested in this combatant now. He would continue to talk as I listened.
As he dashed forward I would also begin to dash towards my opponent quickly taking up my fists using great reflexes in order to maneuver myself at a speed slower than his. As he began leaping towards me I had to make a change towards myself in which I would leap in-air to dodge the strike flying with my fist back and my body ready to attack his face with a smashing right straight.

his movement was slightly interrupted by the opposing young males actions. while he was still charging toward his opponent, he had charged in returned. once the young male would leap into the air to perform a his spinning, tornado kick. the other male would leap into the air, in an attempt to dodge the high striking kick.
though, the youth was successfully above to move up over the spinning kick he was performing, the young male had additionally attempted to punch the young male, directly into his face with a strong punch. but, this time, he would be grazed by the male fast and strong punch as it had came by his face. he was able to avoid the full force of it, thanks to the final spin he made with his last kick as he landed upon the ground. slowly rising back up to his face, placing his hand upon the mark on his face.
("heh, so you can only punch? what is that, boxing?") the young male had said in a calm tone, entering back into his fighting stance. the cut upon his face slowly spilling out blood down his cheek.

"And what if I do..."
I landed on the ground 3 meters away from my opposition as I pressed my arms forward once more waiting to attack my opponent with an expression of seriousness. I took my time to analyze what would happen next, and with all the concentration I could muster I would begin to think of what I could do next in this situation. I pressed my defenses forward taking a look at my oppositions blooded cheek. Even in air he had the ability to dodge my strikes to the fullest, knowing this I should not try to meet him in aerial combat otherwise he'd win.
"These fists of mine are a sign of my true strength, and my abilities all focus on my ability to punch my opponent into submission; I know it's a handicap, I just don't care that it is."
And as the intensity of my words would sink into the situation my body would move on its own. I would need to close in with my own strikes as I used my body to assault my opponent head-on. I had to forget the rules for a moment and focus on knocking my opponent down with rapid punches and then taking in the attack and using a strong punch to lock it down, if I could do that I would have no troubles with my next strikes and wouldn't need to keep trying to find openings and start using them to my advantage.
I attacked with another barrage of jabs keeping my body pressed forward and taking each step to attack an opponent with the utmost skill I could use. This time it wasn't to attack with just a few jabs, but more so to attack with many jabs. At most I could do in any setting right now were four from different strikes. Continuing into the strike my left hand would move once more with quick attacks.
My first four jabs would be aimed at his chest, then arms, neck and then his head once more. I needed to create zero ways for him to catch me off-guard and pressure him into a corner where I can unleash a hook or uppercut strike then a straight punch to the body. This was my planning at least.
