INFORMATION ON DEATH here on seadogs, upon character creation you as a player have the ability to play as death enabled or death disabled. neither option has an advantage over the other, nor any disadvantages either. so it is up to you to pick which type you would like to play on. our reasoning is that, it should not matter whether or not you'd prefer your character not die or it dies. it should be up to the player, especially if you're spending so much of your free outside time developing its story. so please respect other player's decision. we won't say this again, so it's a friendly warning. ♥
so, how do you determine fights between dd and de characters then? the two parties will need to make it clear that the thread is dd if that is what they wish. however, de characters will not be safe from other de characters. outside of that, de character are not allowed to kill dd characters. the same rules apply for dd characters. once a dd character has made it clear that he has killing intent (thus, no accidentally stabbing him in the heart) the dd character also becomes de - due to the choice of making it a battle to the death.
FIGHTING naturally, there will be battles between characters that cannot be avoided. please be sure that you both are adhering to our rules when doing so.
INACTIVE IN-CHARACTER inactive in-character refers to when a player within a thread fails to post within a timely fashion. the IIC time of the thread must be stated in the beginning of the thread for it to be in place. any player posting in that thread must automatically follow that IIC time set by the thread creator. if there is no IIC stated, but any player participating in that thread once to create one, all players must agree to it for it to be legal. if even one person disagrees, the IIC will not valid.
CRITICAL HIT in the chance that a player does miss the IIC time set, then the other player may take a critical hit ONLY if their previous post had an attack targeted towards the inactive player. basically, if you were not attacking the player before they missed their turn, then there is nothing to hit them.
TIME-FRAME each post in a round consists of six-seconds. please remember to roleplay as realistically as you can to the short time span.
ACTIONS PER POST each level can only do so many actions per post. listed below are how many actions per post you can do. the options include: prep, move, attack, defend.
- level 1: 2 actions.
- level 2: 3 actions.
- level 3: 3 actions.
- level 4: 4 actions.
- level 5: 5 actions.
DISPUTES if you have a dispute in a fight, try to solve it via PM first. be responsible people that you are and try to reconcile your issues before contacting a staff member. if the parties involved cannot come to a conclusion, a staff member will assist you!
