OVERVIEW
this site incorporates a different kind of system for ranking up your characters position within the marines. each officer starts out as level 1. to level up you'll need to really work for them! however, it's pretty simple. all you need to do is complete the requirements your character will need to level up, and then follow the application to level up.CONTENTS

[anchor=rankdesc]MARINE RANKS
below are the ranks given out to all officers in the marines. it is necessary that you start at the bottom of the ranking chain as the amount of work you put in shall affect your character and his promotions! and yes, there are specific ranks missing from this list in order to make ranking system simpler. please make sure you read up on it and if you have any problems understanding, contact a staff member.
[anchor=petty]PETTY OFFICER
at this rank, the marine has finally entered his "internship" period and became a possible officer in the marines. however, they are also the lowest on the power chain and must still do much of the work they did before. however, they now are given a bit more freedom with their clothing and have their own weapons.
[anchor=warrant]WARRANT OFFICER
as a warrant officer, marines are at the end of their "internship" period and now have more proper responsibilities. they have freedom with their clothing as long as the marine insignia can be seen on them at all times. often, they are given the leadership to lead 5 seamen during missions.
[anchor=ensign]ENSIGN
finally promoted into "proper officer" rankings, the ensign is now responsible for helping with many minor official tasks. they are often paired with someone higher rank to show them the ropes and teach them the way of the marines. they are given the leadership to lead 10 seamen during missions.
[anchor=lieutenant]LIEUTENANT
usually known as the "right hand" of captains, lieutenants are often seen as being in charge of minor official tasks. they are thought as to be now responsible for their own actions and decisions. during missions, they are given leadership over 15 seamen and a small boat when necessary.
[anchor=commander]COMMANDER
a commander is the captains shadow - learning how to complete important tasks that may very well affect the marines structure. in addition, they are given command on the ship when the captain is unavailable to. commanders are given lead over 20 seamen.
[anchor=captain]CAPTAIN
finally becoming one's own man in the world, the captain is usually known as the beginning of someone that could possibly become great in the future. they are given direct order from the marine headquarters and responsible for their own ship or branch, as well as all the men inside that follow him or her.
[anchor=commodore]COMMODORE
while the many of the responsibilities pertaining to a commodore are not much different from that of the captain, they are seen as having much more experience and capabilities. at the same time, their words and validation holds more ground within the marines. this is where marines show if they have what it takes to become that of an admiral class. commodores may command two ships if the situation requires it.
[anchor=rear]REAR ADMIRAL
this is the big leagues, boys. rear admirals are where marines are now recognized as a force to be reckoned with. not only are they able to command a fleet of of three ships. in addition, they do not yet possess haki or rokushiki, they will be taught one each. clothing wise, they are generally required to wear a suit and marine coat as work formality.
[anchor=vice]VICE ADMIRAL
standing as one of the strongest marines out there, vice admirals are feared due to their strength. wielding proficiency in one haki and one rokushiki, they are rounded fighters that can adapt to any situation. like before, they are also required to wear formal suit and marine coat on base. vice admirals can be seen with a fleet of five ships under their command.

the shoguns of the modern day. admirals are special due to that there are only three positions available at all times. they are both respected and feared throughout the world as their name alone can send relief or panic into the hearts of men. they are the greatest military powers that are allowed to use buster call at any given time.

the highest marine rank. the fleet admiral commands over the complete marine organization. the position of power is so strong that they regulate the moral direction of the largest military power in the world. either he or she is usually no longer sent out into the field and works as the brain behind the brawn.

[anchor=levelup]LEVELLING UP
all marines start out at level 1. you need to buy higher levels in order to be able to be promoted to the next level as well as do a wide range of things including travelling to the grand line, completing certain quests, participating in some events and even to open up more technique slots. there are five obtainable levels within each rank and each level comes with new perks and responsibilities.
LEVEL 1
everyone starts out at level one as a petty officer. at this level, they're permitted five technique slots.
LEVEL 2
a petty officer can apply to level up once they reach the requirements of having participated in 1 site event and have 20 overall in character posts. they will also need 200 beri to buy the level up. this level up will automatically promote your character to warrant officer. those who reach 30 posts however, can be promoted to ensign. additionally, if you've made 50 IC posts, participated in 2 site events and participated in at least 2 threads with a fellow marine, you're eligible to be ranked up to lieutenant. when any character reaches level 2 as either a warrant officer/ensign/lieutenant will now have 10 technique slots.
LEVEL 3
400 beri is needed to level up with promotion to commander. having 70 posts allows eligibility for promotion to captain. you will also need to show us 3 threads in which the character has participated in a marine-specific quests or site events. once you've levelled up to level 3 you'll now have 15 technique slots.
LEVEL 4
600 beri is needed to level up with promotion to commodore. having 90 posts allows eligibility for promotion to rear admiral. once you've levelled up to level 4 you'll now have 20 technique slots.
LEVEL 5
800 beri is needed to level up with promotion to vice admiral. having 120 posts allows eligibility for promotion to admiral provided that seats are opened.
