baratie, the world famous restaurant, was enough even to catch the favour of kirian uriel. she was a picky eater, fussy to the point of being ridiculous (in other words: spoilt as all hell), but the cooks who graced the kitchens of the oval ship were fantastic. they were just taking a bit of time to get her meal out to her today. unsurprisingly the put her in a foul mood as she lazily read today's newspaper. she was travelling to meet up with the 4th division, the fleet she'd been appointed officially appointed to. which had taken bloody long enough to happen. she gritted her teeth, reading an article that highlighted the new promotions within the marines. it was going to take her years to get to the top at this rate.
"ma'am?" a serving boy interrupted her calculations. she half closed the paper and looked up at him, surprisingly patient. he was grinning a stupid grin and ringing his hands. "would you like another drink while you wait? it shouldn't be much longer now." her eyebrow might of twitched as he said that. but either way, it was better to be pleasant in this situations. or as pleasant as kirian could manage. she nodded her head and went back to reading her paper as the kid picked up her glass and scurried off. maybe it was the half scowl on the face or the marine issue uniform that she was wearing, but either way she was pretty sure he'd been sweating.
sadistically, she grinned at that little accomplishment. perking up, she looked around the restaurant from behind her paper, wondering who else she could play with. or maybe someone would come and try to play with her? in the mood for it, kirian toned down the scowl to replace it with a pleasant, indifferent look on her face and suddenly looked a lot more inviting. she was like a spider, setting out her web to catch some flies.
