It was his first time on Torino island, and he had intended to reach the peak of the great tree in hopes of finding one of the grand birds to which the tree provided shelter. Taking a look around the room, he picked up on its low occupancy and the number of people hanging to the shadows. These shady figures, were likely resourceful, and would be key to the success of his personal quest. Without hesitation, he found a seat across from one of the men who sat at a table along the wall. Sliding into the bench, he paused, adjusting the collar of his blue coat over his neck and bricking his hands to a slight touch at the front of his face. From behind the straight forward gesture, he gazed hard upon the man in his presence. [/style] [/style][style=color:857660;font-size:8px;]made by katya of pre and ote[/style][/style]

A long shaggy beard clung to his face for dear life, while the hair on his head had long since fallen out. He gave an effort to smile, revealing both poorly hygienic teeth, and gaps where teeth should have been. The old man chuckled, introducing himself with an extended hand. The old fashion way of shaking hands, Felix didn’t hesitate to return the firm grip with a short shake. “What can I do you for? The names Robert,” he spoke, inquiring further into the arrival of his guest. “Ah, well you see, I’m looking to reach the peak of your town’s great tree.”A light hearted and kind look, soon became serious and disheartened. Furrows formed into the brow of Robert, as he considered the request and what it meant. Sighing, he reached into a pack at his side and withdrew a pen and pad, etching carefully onto the parchment. Robert slid the paper across the table, turning it as he did so, making sure that the picture would appear right side up. The fishman took the map into his hands, bringing it before sharp yellow optics as he began to make not of the trail and methods of travel detailed in the paper. It made perfect sense to him, even without having seen the environment. He knew exactly what he would be searching for, as it was all depicted in landmarks. Lands marks were significant in navigation. They gave way to paths being fleshed out, and eventually lead to the mathematical equations and graphs that created some of the most accurate maps. This however, for his level of navigational skill, would suffice. [/style] [/style][style=color:857660;font-size:8px;]made by katya of pre and ote[/style][/style]

With his chair pushed out, he would stand to once more shake the hand of his constituent and thank him for business. His small visual aid, would play a vital piece in the pirate’s personal quest, and was essential to the steps that would ensue. This insured, that through both confidence and direction that the fishman would reach the peak of the tree and lay sight upon the fabled bird. Although it belonged to folk tale and legend, he was confident, that the creature was real, and hoped to find it in his travels to the high altitude. Once more pushing open the doors, of the bar, he stepped out into the fresh outside air: giving one last wave to the occupants of the rundown tavern before heading out. With a renewed sense of adventure, and ambition that exceeded his recent laziness, he would soon be upon his goal. Few trees covered the immediate area, mostly small shrubbery and even ferns in some places. Taking a deep breath in, Felix allowed his sharp dagger like teeth to show, a grin forming on his face as he tried to picture what the bird of fable might look like. The first feature that came to mind was its size. Such a creature was likely larger than any bird he had seen, any seabird that was. He began to imagine a massive wing span, and a long hooked beak which extended far past the crown of the creature, as though a sword extended from its head. Large red eyes, as legend told could pierce the soul of those who met its gaze, leaving the weak in a state of stupor and paralysis. His depictions of the creature were far from reality. And he would soon find out the truths of this creature. [/style] [/style][style=color:857660;font-size:8px;]made by katya of pre and ote[/style][/style]

The once open fields yielding to the edge of a tree line; beyond this point, the road would maneuver through forest. Felix paused at the entrance to this forest, taking note of the ‘keep out’ signs as well as the plants that occupied his sight. Topiary in the immediate area seemed rather dry and leafless. Thick vines shot out of the ground, spiraling in every direction. These vines, line with the sharpest of thorns, blocked the path ahead. Shrugging to himself, Felix pushed onward. “Somebodies got to do it,” he cooed, no one around to hear his words. Set now on the forest, he took in the environment with his sense, absorbing through sight and smell, the most details. The overwhelming smell of fresh blood could not be ignored, someone, or something had been killed close by. He had to be careful. Ravenous eyes appeared from the shadows of the forest, glowing orange pools that marked way for the predator that approached. Bulky fists, encased in steel armor clenched tightly at his side, and he continued down the path towards the road block as if oblivious to the nearby aggressor. And then it came, capering forth the midst of the trees, attempting to ambush the shark boy from his rear flank. With one foot crushing into the ground, Felix pivoted, unleashing the full torrent of his steel fist upon the assailant. Steel clashed with flesh, and the beast was cast backwards. As the large tiger rose to all fours, blood spilled from his face; his determination still upheld and he released a valiant roar. Standing toe to toe with the dire beast, the fishman brought his hands to the front of his face: ready to strike. The creature reared back, lifting arm as though to bring the powerful claw down upon the pirate. However, his speed easily dominated that of the tiger’s, and his size allowed for more agile movements. Feinting to the left, he converged on the oversized cat from the inside, reaching its chest as it brought down the claw behind him. A devilish smirk stretched across his face, and the fishman brought his fingers tips together, forming a sharp tendril of sorts. ”The end,” he remarked, dealing the fatal blow. Arm extending with considerable force, the finger tips pierced the creature through and through. The steel arm smashing through both flesh and bone, left the tiger heartless and bloody pulp was dripping from the pirate’s arm. Stepping back, Felix watched as gravity took effect, and the creature fell to the ground. Life was now absent of the sentient being, and he lay limb. Victim to power.
